The Loved Ones

I was somewhat excited to watch this movie when i saw the trailer for a while back. so last night i watched it and i dont know. The movie has pretty intense gory scenes, pretty crazy i was like wtf.but check it out, you can watch it for free at letmewatchthis.com watch the one that says megavideo next to it. i give the movie 5 out 10 stars. cinematography is pretty cool, music could have better. acting is coo. styling and giving us a sense of place do a good job, it gives it an old feel to the entire flick. ..watch it and see whats up.

Grand Opening

I remember when my mom first started going to beauty school to become a hair stylist. Years went by and she got her license! yay. good job momma! i remember the day of her test, she dropped me off  and I wished her good luck, later on she called me telling me she passed, so excited! years went by as she worked here and there but she would always talk about how she wanted a salon to herself..but  things always came up, money wise that is. 

Now looking back at everything my mom has done it came down to one very important day! her Grand Opening! I was so happy for her that day, you could just tell she was shining with happiness. I love my mom and i love my dad.

I took this pic the day of, it was when we were headed out and she had locked her salon. I told them "let me take a picture of you guys in front of the salon"

Super talented but I feel like with all that money people still make mistakes and these arent mistakes that you can just rub off with an eraser. these are put you in jail type thing.  when he did that show with mtv or vh1 going around telling youth about how they should stay on the right path and do the right thing.LOL.

so after he gets out of jail and everything seems to be cool, he is caught with -i think drugs- but im not sure..the point is that hes facing charges again and possibly jail time...

but do people care though ? I mean just as long as he makes good music right ?  when his music starts to suck thats when we will care..lol..i think.. but either way...I dont think its a good image especially young kids that look up to him.

We met on the set of my shoot I shot at Sugar Cafe. From that day on we became pretty cool friends. Whenever I would have an idea for a shoot I would call him up " Ey Carl, I got this idea for a shoot and I want you wearing this and doing that" and his response would be "hell yeah man, im down"

he's great to work with and always brings a positive attitude. I miss Carl! hopefully the next time I shoot him will be in New York.

This is my friend Alex! he helped out in todays shoot with Amira. I took this picture on a rooftop as we waited for them to get ready and come up to us. I was testing out the lighting and whatnot. Also he networked with Alvin , who manages Amira which turned out to be a shoot full of productive people.

Today I got the pleasure of shooting pop artist Amira, she's from Atlanta currently working on her single "Girls just want to have fun". She was great to work with, personality and charisma made me feel like I knew her before. That's a good thing cuz it makes shooting so much better.

Why I lOVE Quentin Tarantino

I love all his movies. Especially his use of violence and dialogue. His cinematography is always looking great. especially in Kill Bill ! ( cannot wait for VOL.3 )when i watch a movie i pay attention to everything, from how the editing is done, to the way music starts up at a certain scene, the styling and what props they use in backgrounds..like i said...everything. im very picky to how a movie entertains me. and Quentin Tarantino does all that for me. one day I will shake his hand.

I don't know how we started talking but we did. it was cool, I liked her style and how she carried herself as a person.

I love them without a doubt. Yes! we do argue sometimes and we fight about stupid shit at times but at the end of the day you can't help but forgive them and get over it.

It's weird to see my sisters grow up. I have the coolest sisters in the planet 3 reasons! 

1. they are not pregnant

2. they have goals!

It was cool to go to school with him and actually take classes with him.LOL.so funny at times. we would make jokes about everyone in the classroom. haha. when he didnt go to class and stayed home I felt like wtf were suppose to go together!

I'm in Love

New York City

Saying goodbye to my family was a hard thing to do. I knew I was going to miss them like crazy but at the same time I was so excited to leave home and struggle to make a life of my own. At the airport.....I dont even know how to describe it, as I passed the security check point and looked back I saw My mom, brother,my sisters and my really good friend yadira and wondered when will I get to see them again and I couldn't believe it. The moment that I've always been waiting for was happening. I tried my hardest not to cry as I waved goodbye to mi familia. I sat down in the waiting area and started to think about my life. About all the things that I've done to help me get to where I was headed. I thought about how much hard work and dedication it took to accomplish what I set out to do. I was happy, I am happy and grateful for all the help and support my friends have given me -there's no need to mention any names, you guys know who you are :)   


         SFO to NYC JFK airport now boarding..


....sigh. I sat down and took out letters that some of my friends had written me. I couldn't help my tears from coming out as I read through them. I didn't give a fuck about who was sitting next to me. THIS WAS MY TIME TO CRY.LOL. ( I wasn't ballin' out or nothin' like that, they were just tears and sniffling ) as we took off I was saying goodbye to everything. Leaving to make my dream come true. 


       6 hrs later..
